Emmanuel Daniel (7/10): The goalkeeper was Nigeria’s best performer on the night. Made some crucial saves to keep his side in the game but could do nothing about the two goals his side conceded.
Stanley Amuzie (4/10): The left-back put up his worst performance of the competition. He failed to defend well and the quality of his crosses was poor.
William Troost-Ekong (6/10): The centre-back failed to match his performance in the quarterfinal win against Denmark but still put in an above average performance in the game.
Sincere Seth (4/10): Seth once again failed to justify his inclusion in the team as he struggled to impress once again.
Shehu Abdullahi 4/10: Had a lacklustre game by his standard. The right-back had a torrid time coping with the pace of Serge Gnabry and the quality of his final ball was poor.
Ndifreke Udo (4/10): Took the place of the suspended vice-captain of the side, Azubuike Okechukwu, in midfield and expectedly struggled to fill the position.
Usman Muhammed (4/10): He was largely anonymous in the game. Perhaps, the absence of Azubuike Okechukwu contributed to his below par showing.
Mikel Obi (6/10): The skipper of the side struggled to impose himself in the game. He was always surrounded by the Germans whenever he was on the ball. Had a goal-bound effort blocked in the first half after a dribble.
Ezekiel Imoh (5/10): He was nowhere his best as he was marked out of the game by the German defenders.
Aminu Umar (4/10): Toiled hard to impress in the game with little or no effort for the entire 90 minutes.
Sadiq Umar (4/10): The forward wasted a glorious opportunity to equalise for Nigeria in the first half. Overall, he gave a subdued performance.
Substitutes Junior Ajayi (3/10): Took the place of Sadiq Umar in the game and offered little.
Saliu Popoola (2/10): He was brought in to add more creativity and vigour to the midfield, but he failed in the task.
